How to install web security plugin from WordPress plugin store?

eCylabs security center is providing a Word press plugin called eCy Inspector to protect word press applications from security threats. You can install the web security plugin from the WordPress plugin store. Once the plugin is installed it will provide the eCy Inspector menu on the left side WordPress dashboard. When you click on the left side menu it will open the page and it will provide the instructions for you about the eCylabs security center and register with eCylabs security center to obtain an API key to activate the word press plugin.


When the connection is activated between the word press plugin and eCylabs security center the word press plugin will open the dashboard. These WordPress login dashboards provide a summary of total security issues, number of critical security issues, high severity issues, medium severity issues, and low severity issues. You have basic security check hunt issues that are discovered as a part of the basic security profile scan and you will get detailed information about the issues and solution steps.On wordpress dashboard you can see the application info such as ip,hosted by, running server, certificates,domain expiry and also you can view  the number security issues discovered based on issue category in the barchart. When you click on the View detailed report  button you will be redirected to the eCylabs security center to get the one time assesment report.


The wordpress users can download and activate ecylabs Web security plugin from plugin store https://wordpress.org/plugins/

Once installed and activated, you need to connect with ecylabs web security center for that you need an ApI key. Please follow step by step instructions to activate the api key and start discovering word press security issues.

1. Login to eCyLabs Security Center.

2. Go to the Accounts page.

3. Click to the settings.

4. Click enable the API.

5. Choose the onboarded application and select the WebAppAssessment.

6. Click the generate button.

7. Copy the API key.

8. Login to your wordpress account.

9. Click ecyInspector from the side menu.

10. Paste the API key and click the update button.
