Shodan, as a search engine, is unique in its capability to uncover vulnerabilities and open ports, making it an invaluable tool for cybersecurity professionals and organisations concerned with the security of their internet-connected assets. It is integrated into the eCylabs Web Security Platform in order to enhance the platform's capabilities by providing insights into potential weaknesses, giving users a proactive approach to safeguarding their systems.

By leveraging Shodan's extensive database of internet-connected devices, eCylabs is able to deliver a more comprehensive and accurate security assessment. This combination of Shodan's data with other elements of the platform creates a synergy that simplifies the process of identifying and addressing security risks. Users can access a centralised Basic Security Check panel that presents a holistic view of their system's security, streamlining the decision-making process and to take prompt actions to mitigate vulnerabilities and secure their online presence.

There are two ways in which shodan is used in the platform:

1.1. Login to eCyLabs Security Center.

1.2 Go to applications from the left menu.

   1.3 Click on reports.

1.4 Click on Basic Security Check.

Uploading Shodan reports:

Users can also upload their Shodan reports on the platform and view them in the panel alongside other reports.

2.1 Login to eCyLabs Security Center.

2.2 Click on Profiles from the left menu.

2.3 Select Shodan and Upload the report.
